While we’re almost all waiting for a chance to buy a new GPU, whether it’s an NVIDIA Ampere or AMD Radeon 6000 Series, the new “low-end” from big green may be coming sooner than we think.

Well, soon, but not likely available for purchase.

VideoCardz has spotted that NVIDIA has shared with journalists details about the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. According to the report, it’ll be faster than the RTX 2080 Super, offering performance ~10% better than the 2080S. And it’ll do so at a lower price than the Super, at just $400. And to top it off, NVIDIA is expected to release the 3060 Ti in just a week on December 2nd.

It’s hard to be thrilled with this rumor. Buying an RTX 3070, 3080, or 3090 has been nearly impossible for many of us, myself included. In fact, unless you’re buying something from Apple, it’s probably in short supply. Whether it’s a new games console, videocard, or even one of AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 CPUs, then best we can offer is “good luck”. Though there are a few things you can do to improve your chances.
